What is dry Compound carpet cleaning?
Dry compound carpet cleaning is an easy way to maintain carpets helping to keep there appearance up, between scheduled deep cleaning. Either micro sponges or crushed husks resembling saw dust are coated in cleaning agent and used in this cleaning process. This system requires little training. Using this system will leave your carpets dry and ready-to-use immediately after cleaning.
- Apply your dry carpet cleaning compound by scattering it evenly over the carpet
- Agitate the compound into the carpet thoroughly using your CRB to agitate in both directions. North to south and then east to west
- Vacuum thoroughly using a commercial vacuum cleaner
If the carpet is heavily soiled you can lightly spray the carpet with Texatherm Advanced cleaner before applying the dry compound for improved results. Do not pre-spray water and moisture sensitive carpets and rugs.
We supply the TM3 with Renovator Trays as standard at no extra cost which collect most of the dry compound before final vacuuming.
As a carpet agitation machine:
The 12″ wide TM3 is the perfect machine for agitation of pre-sprays prior to a short dwell time followed by extraction rinsing. Your CRB TM3 will not only agitate, breaking down surface tension which will release soil quicker from the fibres but can also be used as a pile lifter to open up matted fibres speeding up your clean. The TM3 is the perfect all-rounder machine for both covering large commercial areas quickly and also accessing the smaller areas within residential properties.
Benefits?
- Contra-rotating brushes lift and restore the pile
- Surface tension of carpet is reduced releasing soil quicker
- Pre-spray penetrates absorbent fibres better and is worked deep into the pile gently detaching soil from the fibres prior to extraction rinsing.
- Extraction rinsing and recovery of soil is much quicker, and achieved with fewer wand passes.
- Fewer wand passes means less moisture introduced to the carpet enhancing the carpets dry times.
- A CRBs mechanical action means soil release is quicker and more efficient, allowing you to use a gentler low pH cleaning product. Especially relevant when cleaning specialist rugs with unstable dye sites.
- With the right brushes fitted your TM3 can apply a non-excessive aggressive action so it is suitable for use on all carpet types.
When compared to entry-level CRB machines, the TM3 has far denser bristles per sq. inch coupled with a much more powerful motor. The TM3 will agitate the carpet more quickly and thoroughly, with the benefit of also opening and lifting the pile.
